  25.    What AT should look into is a standard slot that the 1200/4000 can both use.
  26.   It may increase the size of the trap door in the 1200 but it would cut the 
  27.  price of upgrade cards as developers would only have to develop one standard.

  29.    I would also recommend that whichever processor they go with be on the 
  30.  expansion board.  When you wanted to upgrade you trade in your old board 
  31.  and buy the new one minus the trade up offer.  This would benefit users, 
  32.  because the upgrade path would be cheaper with the trade up and it would 
  33.  benefit AT because they would have a stock of processor boards they could
  34.  throw into new machines (eliminating manufacturing of new processor boards
  35.  every time) and offer them at a discount.

  37.    One last thing I would do is put a option in the 1200 to hook up an external
  38.  mini-tower design with a few zorro/pci slots.  Similar to the optional port the
  39.  1200's have on the back now (gvp used it for an external scsi connector).

  47.  capability.   Also, one could trick out a 1200 with a PPC board and then
  48.  buy a 4000T with no processor and use the processor board out of the 1200
  49.  when/if he/she wanted to.
